This restaurant is said to be haunted by former owner, C. Arnholt Smith, also known as "Mr. San Diego." Smith was a businessman and the first owner of the San Diego Padres. He utilized the businesses as a car dealership and wine business that was run by his son in the 1970's. The building then became vacant for years and was finally purchased in 2010. It was then that it was determined a spirit was residing and could be seen as a shadowy figure. Witnesses have said the ghost is friendly and employees have reported that when they see an empty stool by the bar, they sometimes leave a drink, just in case the resident ghost is thirsty.
