Located in the scenic Sierra Nevada Mountain range at an elevation of about 6,000 feet, this legendary state park offers an array of activities, and some ghost stories, too!

Just 100 miles east of Sacramento, Donner Memorial State Park is believed to be haunted by the ghost of Tamsen Donner. Tamsen was one of the members of the famed Donner Party who had to resort to cannibalism after becoming trapped here. His ghost is said to roam the area at night.

Witnesses have reported seeing a yellowish, glowing, female figure as well. Her ghost hovers above the ground.
