This cafe used to be known as the Placerville Soda Works, located in a historical landmark building on Main Street. Located in the Gold Country region, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and is believe to be quite haunted.
Local legend says there was a young boy who was crushed by a hydraulic lift and his ghost appears to this day. Others say the place is haunted because of the tunnels that run beneath the building. It is believed that a ghostly miner hangs out down there.
