Castello di Amorosa in Calistoga is a 13th Century style winery and castle located on Helena Highway in Napa Valley. Offering wine tastings, tours, private events, and more, this castle is believed to be one of the most haunted places in the Bay Area. Although it is not that old, the materials used to build the castle have been reclaimed from older structures. It is believed that the spirits who haunt the towers, caves, and castle cellars may have been brought there attached to the materials, many of which were imported from Europe. There are a couple ghosts that are known to wander Castello di Amorosa. These apparitions include that of a Spanish lady in the South Tower, a young stable boy that roams the castle, and a plague victim that wanders the tunnels.
