What's new at Urban Death Tour of Terror for 2023? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

2023's URBAN DEATH TOUR OF TERROR is fully leaning into the adult version (17+) of the show. We're here to push boundaries, question reality, and make people think - in the most gruesome, out-there ways possible!

What are you most excited about for the 2023 Halloween Season?

Since we don't have the family-friendly show this year, we're here to EFF folks up in the best way! We want to creep you out while you get lost in our dark maze, and entertain you as you sit in the theatre for some kick-ass performances.

What differentiates Urban Death Tour of Terror from other local haunts in California?

URBAN DEATH TOUR OF TERROR is a staple in North Hollywood for Halloween with a walk-through maze in our theatre lobby, PLUS our theatrical portion with just the most talented actors. We've been honing our craft over the years, cutting what doesn't work and amping up what does. We listen to our audiences and know what they come here for - sometimes from across the country! We just want to give them more, more, MORE!

How long has Urban Death Tour of Terror been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Urban Death Tour of Terror's history?

ZJU has been featuring URBAN DEATH since 2005 after being created by Zombie Joe and Jana Wimer.
URBAN DEATH has spread its twisted claws around the globe with critically acclaimed runs in
New York City; Cape Town, South Africa; and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, proving horror is a
universal language and how one doesn’t need words - or even much time - to scare, entertain,
tell a story, and profoundly affect an audience.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Urban Death Tour of Terror from start to finish?

The full experience begins when you first arrive at the theatre! Our biggest event of the year, URBAN DEATH draws a crowd that's here to party, as well as scream their faces off. ZJU is like a family, so you're likely to see faces you know in line, and you can get pumped from hearing all the screams from inside!

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Urban Death Tour of Terror is? Why?

First off, the actors will not touch anyone, so it's not scary in that sense. However, we are around a 7 or 8, with most of the horror being us showing you the darkness within. Rather than jump-scaring the audience, URBAN DEATH frightens them in more unexpected and shocking ways. Nothing is off limits.

Can Urban Death Tour of Terror accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Urban Death Tour of Terror together as a group?

Groups of 2-3 people will first traverse our twisting maze before coming to the theatrical portion. Here, there's about 60 audience members on the floor, standing in the rear, or on risers. Guests will leave in small groups of 2-3 people.
