What's new at Cross Roads Escape Games for 2016? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Escape Game Seekers should know about?

Our horror themed game, The Hex Room, is getting revamped with new puzzles, more scares, and a whole new ending!

What are you most excited about for the 2016 Halloween Season?

The Hex Room has been rated the #1 escape game in SoCal and it is going to get even better! We are super excited for our revamp and to make the game even more intense for our guests.

What differentiates Cross Roads Escape Games from other local Escape Games in California?

There are no actors inside our games, this is a real life experience with just you and your friends. In The Hex Room, we divide your entire team up and put you in a room by yourself. You still have to work as a team, but now there is a physical barrier keeping you from your teammates and it makes it all the more intense. Everyone has to work on freeing themselves while overcoming the scares and challenges inside their own room.

How long has Cross Roads Escape Games been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Cross Roads Escape Games's history?

Cross Roads Escape Games opened in January of 2016 with the world famous Hex Room. We are an interactive adventure game that is open all year long. The Hex Room was designed by enthusiasts for enthusiasts and brings people the next level of interactive entertainment. We are not your average escape room. We create custom built sets that completely immerse the players inside a new world, where they have to work together in order to survive.

What's your favorite experience since opening Cross Roads Escape Games?

I love seeing people get scared. We have a bunch of great jump scares and we build the suspense perfectly. Seeing a grown man scream like a little girl always brings a smile to my face.

How long is a typical Escape Game experience at Cross Roads Escape Games from start to finish?

Our games are an hour long. But the overall experience is usually an hour and a half.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Cross Roads Escape Games is? Why?

Probably a 9. Being separated from your group is very intense, and there are a lot of surprises along the way. Every room has a major fear that you must overcome in order to move forward.

Does Cross Roads Escape Games's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

A lot of odd things have happened to us... but I don't know if I am ready to blame it on a ghost. We have one part of The Hex Room where a piece of tech kept turning on... even when it was not plugged in.

What inspired you to open up an Escape Game attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

I have worked on Delusion in the past as both an actress and crew. I have also been the lead scenic painter at The Queen Mary's Dark Harbor for the past 3 years. Both my husband and I have a background in theatre so it all started to make sense that we needed to do something of our own. We always wanted to create a very intimate horror attraction, and starting with the structure of an escape room fit perfectly.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Cross Roads Escape Games?

Lets just say the Hex Room revamp will have a lot of cool special effects ;)

Can Cross Roads Escape Games accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Cross Roads Escape Games together as a group?

The Hex Room is for a group of 5-10 players.

Does Cross Roads Escape Games offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

Because we sell out every weekend, we do not have any special discounts currently.
