A young man once died in a motorcycle accident on the Southwest corner of this intersection. A memorial stood at the location for him and witnesses reported seeing what appeared to be an apparition walking and standing by the corner near the candles.

Stories ay that if you are on this road at night, a ghostly woman walks along the side of the road. As you drive past her, she vanishes. One report states that a motorcyclist was thrown off his bike by something unseen, blacked out and woke up to see a woman with black hair standing over him. When he blinked, she was gone.
